Please join me in celebrating Environmental Services (EVS) Appreciation Week. On behalf of the RESO Executive team, I want to thank each of our EVS caregivers for the dedication and hard work that makes you such an important part of the Providence family. Although we appreciate you every day, EVS Appreciation Week is our chance each year to make sure you know how much we value everything you do to support the Providence Mission.
The performance of the Providence Environmental Services team is inspiring. Our 2,800 EVS caregivers are responsible for cleaning 9,695 patient rooms in our hospitals. In total, our EVS teams work very hard to keep about 24 million square feet of space clean and safe for our patients, visitors and caregivers.
I hope everyone will take a moment this week to recognize your local EVS teams and caregivers. They are critically important to our delivery of care and it’s a great opportunity to acknowledge the amazing work they do every day.
