New IS & RESO Exec Team Leaders

This is an email that BJ Moore, EVP/CIO, IS & RESO, shared to IS & RESO caregivers on September 8, 2022.

I am very pleased to announce the selection of three permanent leaders of RESO, CRCA, and HI. These three leaders stepped into interim leadership for the past months. I appreciate not only their commitment, but the skills and maturity demonstrated during a challenging period for Providence, to drive continuity, great ongoing execution, and represent their respective organizations on the IS & RESO executive team.

Mike Denney, GVP, Real Estate Strategy & Operations
Mike has been part of the Providence family for nearly five years, after joining Swedish as its chief real estate officer. Prior to Swedish, he served as managing director for real estate management company (and current RESO vendor partner) CBRE, where he spent over 17 years. For the past six months, with the integration of Swedish real estate and facilities management into our Providence RESO model, Mike has served as RESO VP for Puget Sound Region. In addition to his overall leadership of the organization, Mike will continue to lead RESO’s support of the North Division in the interim, while we look to backfill this position.

Adar Palis, GVP, Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications
Since joining Providence over seven years ago, Adar was initially focused on clinical Epic applications across our family of organizations, including the Providence St. Joseph Health EHR integration, before taking on leadership across all clinical applications at Providence in 2019. Adar joined Providence after nearly a decade with the Bremerton, WA-based Harrison Medical Center. Adar has a Master of Science in management information systems and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.

Mark Premo, GVP/Chief Data Officer, Healthcare Intelligence
Mark joined Providence over a decade ago as an HI senior director leading the technical design and operations for clinical/business intelligence and data warehousing that has improved decision-making across the enterprise. For the past five years, Mark has served as VP of information management and platform engineering as Providence grew, overseeing cloud computing, data science and machine learning, big data management and warehousing, master data management and governance, and business intelligence. Mark holds a master’s in public administration from the University of Washington and his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Santa Cruz.

The work these three leaders and their teams have continued to drive through recent transitions has been impressive, and I appreciate their partnership. Please join me in congratulating Mike, Adar, and Mark!
