Telephone System Upgrade Starts September 7 for Swedish Issaquah

Swedish hospitals and clinics in the Issaquah area (includes Swedish Issaquah campus, Swedish Pediatrics – Meadow Creek, Swedish Primary Care – Klahanie, Swedish Primary Care – Snoqualmie and Swedish Primary Care – Pine Lake) will get their telephone system upgraded from Sept. 7 at 9:30 p.m. (PT) to Sept. 8 at 6:00 a.m. (PT). During this time caregivers may experience an intermittent impact to telephone services. There will also be a few changes to how caregivers dial the new phones.

Here’s what is changing at Swedish Issaquah Acute and Outpatient locations:

  • Service and maintenance for existing desk phones will be limited from Aug. 26 – Sept. 8. Only urgent service requests will be completed during this time to ensure data migration accuracy. Non-urgent service requests will be addressed after Sept 8.
  • Voicemails saved prior to Sept. 7 will no longer be available. Any saved messages on your current voicemail will not be migrated to the new phone system and cannot be retrieved after the upgrade.
  • A new voicemail mailbox will need to be created by entering your default PIN: 123456. You will be prompted to change your PIN the first time you log into your voicemail.
  • A new phone number will be used to retrieve your voicemail messages: 425-313-7777.
  • Outbound calls will no longer require a “9” to dial out.
  • When calling between any of the Swedish Issaquah locations noted above you can still use 7-digit extensions.
  • When calling a number outside of Swedish Issaquah, including other Swedish facilities, you will need to dial the full 11-digit phone number.

For caregivers at all other Swedish facilities:

  • When calling the Swedish Issaquah locations noted above, you will need to dial the full 11-digit phone number. Be sure to check speed dial and call forwarding programing.
  • When calling other Swedish facilities (except Swedish Issaquah locations) 7-digit extensions will continue to work.

What is not changing:

  • Dial “3000” to announce clinical codes.
  • Dial “0” for the hospital switchboard.
