Cloud Data Warehouse Updates for Genesis

Healthcare Intelligence (HI) remediated the Cloud Data Warehouse (CDW) on July 18 to incorporate changes from the Genesis go-live. Documentation and support channels have been developed for partners and data customers.

The updates affected these components:

  • Staging Layer
  • Warehouse Layer
  • Data Mart Layer

Please ensure that your Genesis-impacted CDW data sources are using the new, remediated tables. Now is the time to complete the transition for your affected reporting. 

If your reports use data from our legacy ERP systems, please switch to comparable reports from Oracle Cloud. If they use data from the CDW, be aware that any support requests will be prioritized according to the agreement between the HI and Finance teams

The CDW has integrated the HI Genesis remediated data for: 

  • Data Relationship Management (DRM) 
  • Epic Clarity  
  • Financials 
  • Human Capital Management (HCM) 
  • Hyperion Finance Management (HFM) 
  • Kronos (consolidated) 
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM) 

Data Access and Governance  

The HI Genesis team is working to improve governance and stewardship of sensitive data. They are working to identify data stewards in the business areas and to better document the process for granting approval for access to sensitive data in the CDW. 

Support and Information  

  • For technical information for report remediation, review the HI Genesis Remediation Resources on the HDP Info Center: Genesis-HI Alignment page.
  • For finance reports using CDW data, HI is directing requests for financial reports to their Finance partners and will continue developing financial reports that use CDW data as directed by Finance according to the HI and Finance Transition Plan.   • Assign Synergy-related support requests in ServiceNow to IS HI Data Engineering.
    • For issues, submit an incident ticket.
