I hope you all had a nice three-day Fourth of July weekend with friends and family.
I am happy to say, we have a major milestone to celebrate, as of yesterday, we are live on Oracle Cloud ERP for Genesis. Congratulations to Frances Chao, the entire Enterprise Business Applications team and to the hundreds of caregivers across IS, Shared Services, and our vendor partners, who made it possible. It is the culmination of years of thoughtful planning and dedication. With this implementation, Providence is now the largest health care system in a single ERP instance in the cloud and one of the few large organizations in the world that have achieved this, in any industry, period. This is a huge milestone in our modernization journey, making our operations more agile and efficient and significantly improving the experience and productivity of Providence caregivers across the system. Standardizing on a cloud-based platform positions us for faster innovation, stay current with technology improvements and gives us a significant competitive advantage. I could not be prouder of the team and every individual who contributed to this. The hard work continues, for the EBA team, across IS and Shared Services teams as we stabilize and manage the transition across our processes and workstreams.
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Providence Global Center in Hyderabad and see the incredible progress Murali and team continue to make. It is great to see the growth of the team and the impact PGC is increasingly having, partnering with US based teams in IS and other parts of Providence.
I wish you all a good start of the summer. I know our IS & RESO planning committee is already hard at work putting together our annual summer social event which gives us all the opportunity to sustain our mission in a meaningful way and have fun as a team in the process. Stay tuned for more.
Thank you for all your work!
