Providence completed the June 2022 Epic upgrade, which includes the May2021, Aug2021, Nov2021, and Feb2022 upgrade packages. The upgrade migration happened primarily over the weekend of June 12, but the Command Center and troubleshooting will continue until all issues are resolved.
For this upgrade, we were able to make changes to the product line including:
- 2,478 clinical indications removed
- 831 new clinical indications
- 799 clinical indications are being updated with new descriptions

This upgrade is the only one in 2022. Beginning in 2023, we will be moving to more frequent and smaller upgrades which will occur on April 16, July 16, and November 12. With a more frequent upgrade schedule next year, we are hoping for additional flexibility and quicker deployment of changes to our caregivers in a more consistent fashion.
With every upgrade, we bring on new features, add to existing functionality, provide new workflows, and create improvements our caregivers have been waiting for. Upgrades are always times for good progress and where we find items that might need additional improvement. We continue to work with all caregivers to be sure they are using the system to its fullest, and the response has been positive to the new offerings that were brought online.
