Complete Your Genesis Training and Ensure our Upcoming Go-Lives Are a Success

Thank you to everyone who joined our IS & RESO Open Forum on May 18 – over 1,800 participants, once again!

I am sharing here some photos from my trip to the Vatican with executive and Mission leaders from Providence. It was a real honor to be part of this working trip to present our plans on behalf of our delegation to the Catholic Health Care Conference. It was an inspiring trip and was even able to get this picture of Pope Francis when our group was able to have an audience with His Holiness.

I want to say thank you for the time our caregivers took to respond to the recent April Caregiver Experience Check-in Survey. Our IS team had a high response rate of 74%, while our RESO team, whose frontline-focused roles make them harder to reach with surveys and emails, had 40% participation. System-wide participation was 46%, so IS & RESO was solid overall. Our shared strengths across IS & RESO are in the areas of Quality and Supervision, while the areas where we need continued focus on are Resonance with the Mission, Role Success, and Workload. This is great feedback that will continue to inform what we do on caregiver experience and what we do as leaders every day.

Genesis go-lives are almost here. At the last Open Forum, we heard from the team about the upcoming launches of the single version of Kronos on June 19 and our new ERP platform, early next month. These are going to be transformative to so many of our core leader and caregiver processes. From giving recognition, to managing performance, to Kronos approvals, to submitting invoices—many processes are changing, so it’s critical we are ready for this major transition. I am asking all of you, especially core leaders, to ensure we take the time to go through the required training, We need to model great training participation for the rest of the system. Please make it a priority for you and your teams. Craig Arnold, SVP of RESO, had an excellent idea for his leadership to taper back recurring meetings during this period ahead of Genesis to ensure his core leaders had time to train. I am looking forward to seeing a big uptick in training participation in the coming days. Look for the article in this newsletter and the articles running weekly in our system core leader and caregiver newsletters for all the trainings and information we need to be prepared.

Finally, wrapping up our recent series of conversations with our three primary region operating presidents, I recorded our fourth Fireside Chat of the year with Dr. Guy Hudson, who shared some interesting stories and perspectives from his career and leading Puget Sound. Every time I meet with these top system leaders, they have accolades for IS & RESO and the partnership our caregivers provide their regions, which makes me very proud of this organization.

I look forward to our time together at the June 21 Open Forum and appreciate your focus on making Genesis a success!
