On May 19, caregivers from the Healthcare Intelligence (HI) Business Ops team, including JoAnn McShane, Jon Knight, Pamela Thurston, and Thom Disco traveled to downtown Seattle to help host a luncheon for tenants at Providence Vincent House. They brought many yummy things to share, such as salads, sides, sandwiches, fruit, and desserts, and Vincent House prepared the main dish. There was an ongoing trickle of residents for them to meet and serve, while one of the tenants and her son played live music in the lovely weather.
Providence Vincent House is one of 16 Providence supportive housing communities in three states–Washington, Oregon, and California. The program provides permanent, affordable, and safe housing for more than 950 seniors and people with disabilities, who have low incomes. Each location is a caring, respectful community with on-site service coordination to promote independence and aging in place.
HI has partnered with Vincent House with annual mission service events for the past several years. Providence Vincent House at Pike Place Market in Seattle is located near easy access to affordable shopping and essential resources including the Pike Market Food Bank, where clients can receive free groceries weekly, and the Pike Market Clinic, offering primary care and other health and wellness services to homeless, elderly, and low-income clients.
Our thanks to all who arranged and participated to support Vincent House and live our Mission and Values.
