Fond Farewells and Inspiring Commitments to our Mission

We had just under 1,900 join us on Wednesday, April 20, for our largest-yet IS & RESO Open Forum, where we got to focus on a lot of great recognition – our Q1 SMIle Award Winners, major service anniversary milestones, and our Caregiver Experience Distinguished Leader and Growth in Leadership honorees.

That day we were able to say farewell to Brett MacLaren, GVP of Healthcare Intelligence/Chief Data Officer and wish him well in his new endeavor. I also shared that Tabitha Lieberman, SVP of Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications, has made the difficult decision to leave Providence on May 27 to pursue her next chapter. Hard to put in words the profound positive impact Tabitha has had at Providence during her tenure. We’ll look back at Tabitha’s Providence journey and do a proper sendoff while we still have her with us on our May Open Forum. Once again, I want to thank Mark Premo and Adar Palis for stepping up to lead HI and CRCA teams in the interim and help us maintain focus and continuity as we manage these transitions.

Last month, we honored our RESO linen and laundry caregivers with a special week of recognition. This month, we honor Clinical Technology Services functions within IS that are being recognized as part of the industry’s Health Technology Management Week. The week of May 15-21 honors the contributions of teams like Clinical Engineering and End User Services that work side-by-side with our clinicians and patients every day to ensure our equipment and medical devices are operational, secure, and safely supporting the delivery of care.

Finally, last week I had the chance to sit down for the third Fireside Chat of 2022 with Lisa Vance, President of Operations & Strategy for Providence North. I encourage you to check out our chat, where she talks about some of the collaborations with IS & RESO that she is most proud of, her 30-plus year journey with our system, and some advice she’d give her younger self. It’s inspiring to hear from veteran leaders like Lisa, who have continued to look to our Mission for renewed inspiration and find new challenges to continue to tackle over long, fulfilling careers at Providence.

I’ll see you at our May Open Forum and hope you have a great start to your month.
