Tabitha Lieberman to Depart Providence

A note from IS & RESO EVP/CIO, B.J. Moore

During the April 20 Open Forum, I shared that Tabitha Lieberman, SVP of Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications (CRCA), will be departing Providence on May 27. I wanted to pass on the note she asked to share with IS and add on a note of my own.

In our three years working together, I have been grateful for Tabitha’s expertise, leadership, and championing of our Mission. She has helped Providence become a world leader in our “one Epic” modernization, the implementation of one of the world’s largest standard installs of Epic, and integrating legacy teams into CRCA. The work she has led for Providence will ease the way for our caregivers and patients and enable clinical and revenue cycle innovation for years to come. Her tenure has also seen massive strides in the simplification and rationalization of our clinical application portfolio.

Tabitha joined Providence in 2011 and has worked in health care for three decades, starting her Epic focus in 1997 at the University of Washington/UW Medicine, then The Everett Clinic, prior to Providence. We will miss her baking and look forward to seeing what she turns her sights to next.

Adar Palis, current VP of Clinical Applications, will step up to lead CRCA in the interim as we work to identify a new SVP leader for this critical body of work that I know will continue to run smoothly, as we look ahead to the many great initiatives underway.

Please join me in thanking Tabitha for her contributions and wishing her the best in her next chapter.

B.J. Moore
EVP & CIO, Information Services/Real Estate Strategy & Operations (IS & RESO)

I have stared at the blank page many times trying to figure out how to say goodbye. I don’t have the words to fully convey how grateful I am for having been part of Providence these last 11 ½ years. While much has changed, the one constant is knowing I have been part of something that is truly foundational for Providence and will provide value to our patients, caregivers, and communities for decades to come.

I first joined Providence to help with the Epic rollout and was lucky see the beginnings of the organization coming together across all our regions. When the people of Providence focus on a goal there is nothing that can’t be accomplished! I also have had the opportunity to visit almost every hospital and many of our clinics and have the utmost respect and admiration for those of you working to take of our patients no matter the challenges.

My role has changed many times over the years but what has never changed is the commitment of the team to make a real difference to those we serve. I have been blessed to represent the amazing individuals that make up the Clinical and Revenue Cycle Application team and I know the organization is in excellent hands as I take the next step in my personal journey. Not only has this team delivered to you the largest standard application portfolio in healthcare, their knowledge, experience, and ability to deliver is second to none. Now that the core foundation is in place across all of Providence, I can’t want to hear news of the amazing accomplishments to come.

I am excited about what’s next for me, but I will miss so many of the people of Providence. I have learned so much from so many incredible people and will carry those relationships and lessons with me forever.

My final day will be May 27th.

With gratitude,

Tabitha
