Brett MacLaren, our GVP of IS Healthcare Intelligence (HI)/Chief Data Officer, has decided to depart Providence effective April 22 to pursue an exciting next chapter in his career. I want to thank Brett, who joined Providence in 2018, for driving the integration of our HI teams and technologies, the modernization of our health data platform to support a cloud-based analytics environment, and his incredible partnership with Truveta to build a world class data platform. I also want to thank Mark Premo, VP of HI Information Management & Platform Engineering, who will be stepping up to lead the HI team, as we recruit for a new Chief Data Officer.
With Mark as interim HI leader, we anticipate a seamless transition and no interruption to HI’s critical work. The Healthcare Intelligence team will continue working toward the development of integrated, best-in-class, centrally governed enterprise data platforms to deliver transformative analytics solutions. HI’s partnership with the IS teams implementing Genesis ERP will also be critical in the months ahead.
Please reach out to me with any questions and join me in thanking Brett for his great contributions and wish him well in his new endeavors.
B.J. Moore
