As we shared last month, as of March 5, Texas is now on Providence Epic.
IS Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications (CRCA), Clinical Informatics, TEO, and service desk teams put in tremendous effort to make this a successful and smooth transition for our caregivers transitioning from MEDITECH and AllScripts systems.
As the metrics below attest, each major regional go-live has gone smoother and smoother.
Go-live success metrics shared on our March 28 IS & RESO Open Forum
- 83% of 90 top priority issues resolved
- 94% closure rate on submitted tickets, beating prior record closure rate of 91.5%
- Only 243 of 4,073 tickets submitted
- Epic Support Team supported 7,171 calls; 2,540 self-service tickets/chats
- AskIT IS service desk support 8,315 calls with 54-second ASA
Praise from system leaders
Day 1
I am filled with gratitude to everyone for all they are doing in this go live. Providence is one of the nation’s largest users of Epic and it is critical to the interconnectivity we want to have. It will take some time to get used to but when you do some of the noise around the system will go away. Deepest thanks to all of you in the ministries and on the ground. Getting ready is hard, getting training down and the heavy lift. In particular, during a pandemic, now endemic and in a critical staffing crisis… I am truly inspired by you. Together as a team we will get through this, and we will be stronger and better off – I am here 24×7 if anyone needs my help!
– Eric Wexler, President, Strategy & Operations, Providence South
Day 18
The amount of support we have received from the Epic team throughout this go-live has been nothing short of magnificent. This was an unbelievably successful go-live. I encourage everyone to find someone with a blue lanyard and give them a hug.
– Dr. Craig Rhyne, CMO
This was my third go-live and this was the best. Even those unhappy about having to go through a change, were very impressed with the support.
– Dr. Brian Schroeder, CMO, CMC
The quick and effective response of the support team has added to our success as well as the kindness and grace. Thank you.
– Cynthia Salisbury, VP, Chief Nursing Executive
