It is exciting to announce that on March 5, at 2:00 a.m. (CT), our Texas-New Mexico region went live on Epic, replacing MEDITECH and Allscripts systems, along with many other integrated applications.
Bringing Epic to Texas-New Mexico not only further expands our continuity of care for this region, but now all of our Acute, Ambulatory, and Home Health sites are now on the same electronic health record (EHR). This go-live implementation with lots of complex moving parts marks another tremendous success for Providence and all our IS teams.
Our caregivers and support teams have spent nearly two years working toward this day, and we are happy with the feedback we have already been receiving from hospitals.
The go-live impacts another huge region in our footprint, and completes the Covenant conversion to the standard Providence Epic build. We are excited to welcome the following facilities to Providence Epic:
- Covenant Medical Center
- Covenant Children’s Hospital
- Covenant Specialty Hospital
- Covenant Plainview Hospital
- Covenant Hospital Levelland
- Covenant Medical Group
A huge thank you to all the teams, both within IS and in Texas-New Mexico that have prepared for so long to make this happen. We should all be proud of the work we have accomplished.
