Work More Efficiently with Two New Microsoft Features

OneTeam wants to help you work more effectively and efficiently with the latest Microsoft features. Here are two new features to check out.

Stop typing and start dictating

If you prefer to dictate your documents rather than typing, you can do that any time.

1. Press the Windows logo key and the H key.

2. You will get a pop-up about selecting a text field for dictation. Using your computer’s microphone, your speech will be dictated to the chosen text field. (Note: You may first get a pop-up directing you to go to the computer settings and turn on online speech recognition.)

Silence notifications with focus assist

Give yourself dedicated time to work by turning off notifications that may pop up on your monitor. All you need to do is set focus assist.

1. Go to settings.

2. Then select system.

3. Select focus assist.

4. Select which notifications you want to receive. You can even select a specific time you want to receive notifications.

If you’re interested in learning more features like these, sign up for virtual classes in March to increase your knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams and more. There’s also a new class on March 22: Network Drive to SharePoint. The class covers the top things to know about making the switch from managing files in a network drive to managing them in SharePoint. And if you want to test how savvy your Microsoft skills are, take the skills challenge in Yammer.
