Workforce Housing Projects Connect RESO Work to Core Value of Justice

Recent months have seen us making positive strides in affordable housing for our caregivers.

Vacancy rates continue to be very low in many of our regions, making it challenging for caregivers for find housing. Providence is at the forefront of this work, and our efforts will remove barriers and create a difference for recruitment and retention of caregivers.

At this time, there are developments occurring in both Oregon and Alaska. Housing options are either on-campus or in the vicinity of our ministries, making it both convenience stress-free for caregivers eligible for these upcoming units.

Alaska

Seward — Secured six units for caregivers in October 2021

Kodiak — Building a development of 12 new units, ready in spring 2023

Valdez — Securing six units from a developer

Oregon

Medford — New 96-unit, on-campus development with daycare, fitness center and bike storage coming in Q1 of 2024. A mix of Studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom unites will be available.


Milwaukie — New 30-unit cottage cluster housing next to Milwaukie campus. Caregivers will have option to purchase these two-bedroom units. Coming Q1 of 2024.
