Providence Welcomes T. Craig Arnold as SVP of RESO

Craig Arnold joins Providence as senior vice president for real estate strategy & operations (RESO) from BMW Group, where he led the German automaker’s real estate, design, construction, and facilities operations in the Americas. At BMW, Craig led the team overseeing real estate project strategies, planning, design and realization supporting manufacturing, importing, logistics, training, sales, and administration business units. He also served in a corporate sustainability officer role and helped facilitate the integration of new subsidiaries and partnerships, including Mini, Rolls Royce Motor Cars, and Share Now.
In his role with BMW, Craig managed projects across two continents and a real estate portfolio corporate locations in a combination of owned, leased and subleased holdings. His team also managed all future real estate strategies, investigations and evaluations. His role and leadership approach involved strong global and cross-functional partnerships and standards, as well as the implementation of lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma techniques for continuous improvement.
Craig began his career at a global construction and general contracting firm, working on complex projects such as airports, for clients such as Boeing and the Pentagon, before being selected to coordinate the construction management team for BMW’s first manufacturing plant in the Americas.
Craig’s education includes studies at Johns Hopkins University’s executive MBA program and his undergraduate degree from Auburn University’s college of architecture. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in corporate sustainability from Furman University and completed executive studies in real estate, finance and executive leadership from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and Florence Design Academy in Italy.
Craig was drawn to the role by Providence’s Mission and how RESO can help sustain our Mission as we continue modernizing and optimizing our real estate portfolio to support health delivery at scale across our communities, our evolving hybrid work model, and the sustainability goals driving our WE ACT 2030 carbon negative pledge.
“I was so inspired by everyone I have met at Providence and I’m excited to support sustain our Mission, listen to the needs and critical opportunities of our ministries, and realize the advantages we can harness by partnering and strategically managing our real estate portfolio for the benefit of our patients, caregivers, and communities,” Craig shares.
