At about this time last year, we shared how we’d completed the successful IS integration of St. Elias Specialty Hospital, a Providence-owned rehab hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.
The final item on the integration project list was to shut down the St. Elias data center. This couldn’t happen until all applications were moved from the St. Elias data center to a Providence data center location. As of Wednesday, October 27, IS has completed that work and is now ready to shut down the St. Elias data center.
Over 100 IS caregivers contributed to making this integration successful and comprehensive!
In honor of this milestone event, the IS MAC team (mergers, acquisitions & major construction) hosted an ice cream celebration at the ministry on Thursday, October 28 and Saturday, October 30 during both day and evening shifts. Core leaders and members of the St. Elias service committee delivered ice cream to caregivers as a thank you for their support in helping make this integration possible.
“We could not have done this without your support and patience! We are so glad you are part of the Providence family!” shared Bert Martin, exec. director, IS MAC.
