The Healthcare Intelligence (HI) team supporting IS Enterprise Business Application’s Project Genesis is reminding our partners and customers that, while the July 2022 go-live for Genesis seems far in the future, time is running out to request any changes to this large and expansive project.
If you haven’t already, please analyze your reports for data sources to Oracle/Genesis Finance ERP modules outside the Cloud Data Warehouse (CDW). Please send any questions from your analysis to the HI team supporting Genesis at HIGenesisTeam@providence.org.
Multiple ERP systems, including Lawson, McKesson, MAS2000, and others, will be consolidated and replaced by Genesis. HI currently supports certain reports using this data, which is typically combined with electronic medical record (EMR) data.
If you maintain or use reports currently using this data, please ensure that you’ve considered these questions as soon as possible:
- Do you use Finance-related ERP data outside HI products in the legacy Genesis-bound data stores?
- If so, what are these reports? You may need their data sources mapped into the new HI Genesis data store. Does the timing of the July 1, 2022 go-live impact your reports?
- If so, what is the impact and how can we support you?
Deloitte to take a break from the Project Genesis
- Our Deloitte partners who provide expertise and carry a large part of the workload on Genesis will leave the project temporarily from November 19, 2021, until April 2022, when user acceptance testing (UAT) begins. Members of the Providence Genesis ERP team will take over their work related to your change requests.
- HI is responsible for the Finance-related activity and plans to remediate our products (like Synergy) and EMR data with the functionality mapped from Genesis and Epic.
- If you use Finance-related ERP data outside HI products, you may need to have it mapped from the legacy Genesis data store to our new schemas. At this point, we need to address this work as soon as possible and may need to schedule any dependencies with the Deloitte or Genesis ERP team.
- Direct questions about Human Resource Management (HRM) ERP data to the IS Administrative Technology team at XX[. Similarly, the Resource, Engineering & Hospitality Group (REH) is responsible for Supply Chain Management (SCM) data, which can be emailed at XX.
- If you have questions, please contact your HI product manager (data consultant) to set up a meeting with one of the HI leads supporting Genesis. Alternatively, you can send questions directly to HIGenesisTeam@providence.org.
