Check Out the September 23 Open Forum, In Case You Missed Out

We had over 1,400 caregivers join our Thursday, September 23, 2021 Open Forum, during which our IS & RESO execs covered a wide variety of topics.

  • Table of the King celebration reflection on the life and work of our Foundress, the Blessed Emilie Gamelin, along with a prayer, from Tracy Brown, director, King County Mission Integration, and Glenda Fossum-Smith, exec. director, RESO Communications & Oregon/RESO Mission Integration. Please check out our article for an additional video message/prayer from Sister Susanne, as well as recipe cards for celebrating Table of the King in your own household, as well as an opportunity to support one of our Mission causes.
  • EVP/CIO update from B.J. Moore, congratulating our IS teams and partners on the successful go-live of Northern California Epic/standard applications over last weekend. B.J. also welcome our 14 new Year Up interns and thanked the 1,200 caregivers who joined our August 31 IS & RESO Virtual Summer Social and helped us raise over $12,000 for our Mission Ambassador partner, YWCA of Spokane.
  • B.J. also encouraged each of us to check out the latest episode in his Fireside Chat series, featuring Sister Susanne Hartung, where they discuss our IS & RESO Mission alignment.
  • Ivette de Rubens, GVP, IS Strategy & Centers of Excellence, reiterated B.J.’s appreciation of all those who helped raise $12,360 for YWCA of Spokane as part of our IS & RESO Virtual Summer raffle, sharing our 12 winners, as well as winners of our Sasquatch counting and executive trivia challenges. She also thanked those on our organizing committee and our activity volunteers for their creativity and hard work.
  • Ivette also encouraged us to nominate peers for the Q3 IS & RESO EVP/CIO SMIle Awards, honoring individuals and teams demonstrating our guiding principles of Simplify, Modernize, and Innovate, while leading with excellence, and living our Providence Mission and values. Nominating for Q3 closes on Friday, October 1, 2021.
  • Tim Cash, exec. director, HR, outlined critical state-by-state vaccination deadlines, encouraging us to check the VAV Tool to ensure our vaccination or exemption request records are in place with the system, as well as highlighting other informational resources for caregivers trying to learn more about vaccination. Please see B.J. Moore’s Sept. 10 memo for these dates and resources.
  • Geoff Glass, sr. energy program manager, shared our efforts toward a more efficient approach to our waste streams that will help us reach our 2030 WE ACT goal of becoming carbon negative as a system.
  • Doug Lewis, GVP, IS Administrative Technology and executive co-sponsor of our IS & RESO Caregiver Experience Committee shared progress made in 2021 toward improving the caregiver experience, as well as details of the Caregiver Experience Survey that we’ll be invited to participate in, October 6-20, 2021.
