Start Your Analysis for Genesis ERP Data in the HI CDW

The enterprise-spanning Genesis project will replace multiple ERP systems that support back-office activities at Providence for Finance, Supply Chain (REH), and Human Resources (HCM). Legacy PHS and SJH Kronos instances used for timekeeping and scheduling will also be consolidated into a single enterprise-wide instance. This enterprise-wide project spans numerous pillars and teams with the go-live date on Jan 1, 2022.

Since Genesis will be the source for ERP data in the Cloud Data Warehouse (CDW), Healthcare Intelligence (HI) has started the Genesis-HI Alignment project. Business partners and customers who use HI’s impacted data and products also must start now.

HI Partners & Customers Key Responsibilities

If you are an HI business partner, you need to understand how these transitions affect you. While HI will do its part (see below), you are responsible for your own products and applications. Please begin your analysis for Genesis-HI remediation if you haven’t already, including:

  • Inventory and assess your own data assets and their data sources
  • Identify HI-provided ERP tables and fields that may be in scope; check with HI to ensure we are remediating them
  • Develop a remediation plan in collaboration with HI as needed
  • Start assessing any new tools you need for Genesis
  • Communicate with your customers about the effects of your remediation
  • Monitor our communication channels for announcements and information; get added to a distribution list

Healthcare Intelligence Key Responsibilities

The HI scope of work includes the following:

  • Inventory, assess, and remediate HI-owned assets using Genesis data
  • HI-owned and managed front-end products (reports, dashboards, extracts, etc.)
  • HI-owned data products created from legacy systems (UMF, Synergy, Callisto, etc.)
  • HI data pulled from transactional systems (Epic, Lawson, Kronos, etc.)
  • Specified HI Genesis data store tables
  • Sunset and archive HI assets that transition into Genesis
  • Communicate and coordinate with our partners who use the data assets involved in this transition
