The Healthcare Intelligence (HI) Electronic Medical Record Reporting team will freeze intake on new projects while Providence upgrades our Epic system. This pause is based on the June Upgrade Freeze dates already announced by the Epic Application team. Any requests made will be placed in the post-freeze queue, according to priority.
See June Epic Upgrade Timeline, Environments Upgrade Timeline and Freeze Dates for additional details.
When
- The HI EMR Reporting intake freeze will be in effect from June 14 to July 12, 2021.
- The Epic upgrade go-live is scheduled for June 27. Changes to that date will affect the HI EMR reporting intake pause accordingly.
Why
The Epic upgrade includes two release packages (November 2020 and February 2021) and optimization projects identified by the Epic Clinical Optimization (ECO) and Access & Revenue Cycle (ARC) teams. As part of our due diligence for Epic updates, the EMR Reporting team needs to analyze and remediate any of our affected products.
This work includes:
- Analyzing changes to Clarity databases
- Identifying, updating, testing, and publishing affected reports and dashboards
What can I do?
- Monitor your email for info about your specific reports or reporting platform.
- Watch the myHIway Blog or HI Public Yammer community for general posts about changes.
- Submit your requests in ServiceNow and we’ll work them after the upgrade in priority order.
- Request an emergency exception to the freeze due to regulatory or significant financial implications by clearly mentioning that need in your ServiceNow request.
