Les Brooks Promoted to VP, IS Clinical Strategic & Operations Support

Michael Marino, DO, Chief Medical Information Officer/SVP, Clinical Informatics & IS Strategic Partners, shared on April 7, 2021, the promotion of Lesley (Les) Brooks to a new role of VP, IS Clinical Strategic & Operations Support.

Most recently serving as exec. director for EHR Optimization & Lab Informatics, responsible for overseeing the ECO process project managers and Lab Informatics team, Les will now have oversight of our IS Strategic Partner/Service Director group, working with our identified business liaisons as we continue to implement and utilize our new IS intake processes.

It is with great pleasure that I share with you Lesley (Les) Brooks’ new role as VP, IS Clinical Strategic and Operational Support. Les has strong proficiency in the IS clinical strategic and operational support space and has 38 years of healthcare experience, 24 years of which have been in leadership roles.

Les started his journey in healthcare as a Navy Hospital Corpsman in 1983. His first role with Providence was a Laboratory Technician starting in 1990 at St Mary’s of the Plains in Lubbock. Over the last 30 years he has held progressive leaderships role within Providence with a few short absences working for different consulting companies in the health IT spaces, most recently with Leidos.

In addition to continuing to oversee the ECO process project managers and the Lab Informatics team, Les will now begin having oversight of our IS Strategic Partner/Service Director group and will work with our identified business liaisons as we continue to implement and utilize our new IS intake processes.
