IS Healthcare Intelligence (HI) is migrating our Lawson databases from the PHS Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to the Azure Cloud. We are in the process of testing the migration. This transition supports our IS priority of being “Cloud First” in our approach, and simplifying and modernizing our data infrastructure.
HI’s goal is to make this a “lift and shift” operation with minimal effect on end users. More details to come depending on testing outcomes.
Scope
- All Lawson databases in EDW will be migrated to an Azure SQL environment.
- The Lawson database names are:
- LawsonDataMarts
- LawsonReportingData
- stg_LawsonDataMarts
When
We expect to complete migration in June 2021 and will provide additional details as it progresses.
Additional Details
- Upon the completion date, HI will disconnect PHS EDW Lawson databases from production and remove all access.
- HI will finish PHS EDW sunset activities after all access is removed.
