Join us each month as leaders from across the organization discuss how Providence will achieve its goal of becoming carbon negative by 2030.
The series focuses on key themes and speakers discussing initiatives underway, successes achieved, and how to get involved.
Caregivers who attend will understand how climate change and health are interrelated, how the WE ACT framework will help us achieve our goals, and learn about tools and resources to take action.
During the February 26, 2021 WE ACT to Become Carbon Negative Education Session, we discussed the basics of how global warming happens and why we are concerned about it. We also learned more about carbon accounting, and our own carbon footprint.
The most recent educational event clarified what we mean by “carbon negative” and shared some of the great work underway to drive down our carbon emissions. RESO’s Dave Thomsen, director, infrastructure and environmental stewardship, joined Beth Schenk and guest presenter Jean Garris Hand.
