Answering the Call to Volunteer When Help Is Needed During COVID

Melanie Hao, real estate manager

Non-clinical caregivers are needed during this time of COVID-19 pandemic support. Whether supporting our mass vaccination clinics, our testing sites, or patient check-in/registration at sites where the virus is surging, you may have seen calls seeking volunteers in your area.

One RESO caregivers who answered the call in her Southern California region, where COVID-19 has been surging, is real estate manager Melanie Hao.

Read her post on the Providence blog, where she describes her moving experience as a volunteer shift staffer at the COVID-19 Emergency Room registration at St. Joseph Hospital Orange.

Please consider answering the call to serve our Mission and support our communities during this pandemic as a non-clinical volunteer if you see one of the urgent calls to action from your regional leadership. Melanie’s blog also shares several ways caregivers and others can donate to support COVID response, research, and impacted families.
