Hackathon Success

The 2020 virtual Hackathon we told you about this summer was a great success.

Organized by the Providence Digital Innovation Group (DIG), for the first time, this year’s September 15-21 event had participants from within IS and our Providence Global Center (PGC).

This collaborative event helped continue foster the spirit of innovation across technology-focused teams at Providence and cultivate great ideas that help serve our Mission of caring for the poor and vulnerable and our vision of Health for a Better World.

Both IS & RESO EVP/CIO B.J. Moore and Shared Services Mission Integration Officer Sister Susanne Hartung served as judges.

  • Approximately nine hours of demos
  • 16 Expert Desk requests and several post-Hackathon research projects in the pipeline
