Please pick it up before ordering new items.
For teams/caregivers working remotely*
When caregivers quickly transitioned to working remotely due to COVID-19 earlier this year, many grabbed just the essential items from their desk or workspace – such as laptops or monitors.
Now that we have clear guidance to work virtually for the foreseeable future, caregivers may need additional technology equipment or hardware to create a more productive, permanent remote work environment. This equipment may already be at your work office and just needs to be picked up.
If you need it, please go and get it
If there is technology equipment or hardware you need and it’s at your office location/work desk, please first pick those items up before ordering new products. To be good stewards of our resources and reduce duplication of costly equipment, please pick up and use what you already have. Please only take employer-provided equipment that belongs to you.
What you may need to work productively from home
Your standard office equipment** | Items you never had or can’t get from your work office | Help with home ergonomics |
If you haven’t done so already, we encourage you to go back to your work office to pick up and/or repurpose any “left behind” items for remote use:
DO NOT BRING HOME:
These will not work correctly remotely and are not supported by the IS Service Desk. |
If you need Microsoft Teams-compatible headset for remote use, please visit the IS Self-Service Portal to order equipment*.
If there’s other technology equipment or hardware you need that you don’t already have at the office, we’ll soon be rolling out a process through the IS Self-Service Portal. See more below. *Purchasing outside of the IS process above is against PSJH policy and may result in equipment that is not supported by IS Service Desk or compatible with our security, networking, and applications requirements. |
Take the Enviance self-assessment and learn about our ergonomics program to ensure your work environment is safe and supports your ergonomic needs. |
**These items represent what caregivers may need to get their work done most efficiently.
Please note: This guidance pertains to technology equipment and hardware. At this time, you do not need to clear out your work space of personal items (such as pictures, books, mugs, etc.). When the time comes to bring people back to facilities, we’ll have a more formal plan about how we’ll use our work spaces in the future.
Don’t have it? New ReadyTECH ordering process launching in October
We want all caregivers to bring their best each day, and having the right tools and equipment to do your job is a big part of that. If there’s technology equipment or hardware you need that you don’t already have at the office, we’ll soon be rolling out a process through the IS Self-Service Portal. It features a ship-to-home option with quick delivery.
We recognize that right now there’s a significant backlog for select times. We’re working hard to make this a smoother and more efficient process, and will share more in October. Of course, if there’s an item you need right away to do your job, please talk with your core leader.
Thanks for your patience and flexibility as we navigate this new environment.
