On Sept. 23 we will remember the life of Emilie Gamelin, the Founder of the Sisters of Providence.
We are asking that you provide for your family a meal, soup, and bread to honor the life of this amazing woman. The video will provide you with some background on her life and the meaning of the Table of the King, which she began when she was 18-years-old in an effort to serve the poor in Montreal.
Table of the King is a meaningful day for us to remember Providence St. Joseph Health’s deep commitment to serving all people, especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Because we are currently in a virtual world, I would love to have a photo of your family taking part in Table of the King at your home. Please send photos to me at Susanne.hartung@providence.org.
Also, if you are able, we ask that you contribute to Providence Regina House in the amount of what your ordinary meal would have cost. This is truly optional.
Charitable partner – Washington: Regina House or a food bank of your choice
I have provided a prayer for your Table of the King if you wish to use it at the beginning of your meal.
Blessings to each one of you who serve the poor and vulnerable in your ministry every day.
