Everett Receives HIMSS 7 Distinction

Everett completed the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) resurvey on Monday, August 3, 2020, and we are thrilled to again achieve the highest distinction from their evaluation – HIMSS 7.

HIMSS is a global advisor and thought leader supporting the transformation of the health ecosystem through information and technology, and receiving the HIMSS 7 distinction is a testament to the dedication and the work focused on digital transformation in healthcare. HIMSS provides healthcare organizations specific guidance on key areas of provider maturity like infrastructure, analytics, coordination of care, and clinical documentation. Receiving a Stage 7 validation on a HIMSS Maturity Model is a global symbol of success in those areas.

There are currently only 321 hospitals in the US with the Stage 7 designation. Of those, Everett is one of only two in Washington State. We should continue to be very proud of our work and receiving this acknowledgment.

It was especially meaningful to hear comments from the evaluators about our enterprise, including:

  • I still use Everett as an example as I travel around the country. Truly impressive group.”
  • I wish everyone made this process as easy as you do.”
  • Outstanding!”
  • “You set the bar high.”
  • “What would US healthcare be like if all organizations were at this level?”

Congratulations to everyone who has worked to ensure we maintain these high standards. It is a joy to see our tools and operational processes come together in support of best practices for our patients!” shares Tabitha Lieberman, SVP, Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications.
