We have begun the phased transition of PSJH caregivers from using the legacy VPN clients, Cisco AnyConnect and Junos PulseSecure, to using the more modern GlobalProtect solution. This new software offers the same functionality as our existing solutions, but with added security features to ensure our network and data are more thoroughly protected.
We will begin the removal process of AnyConnect and PulseSecure in phases. Legacy VPN tools will be uninstalled for users. Some caregivers may be required to reboot to finalize the uninstallation process. Should you receive a request to restart your machine, please do so.
- Phase 1: May 11 – Begin removal process of AnyConnect and PulseSecure for PSJH employees who are actively using GlobalProtect on PSJH devices.
- Phase 2: May 18 – Begin removal process of AnyConnect for PSJH employees who have successfully transitioned to GlobalProtect on PSJH devices.
- Phase 3: May 25 – Begin removal process of PulseSecure for PSJH employees who have successfully transitioned to GlobalProtect on PSJH devices.
- Phase 4: June 20 – We will work with all others, including vendors and non-employees using AnyConnect and PulseSecure on PSJH and personal devices, to transition to GlobalProtect.
Please Note: If your PSJH device is off or in sleep mode when the removal process is initiated, the process will initiate the next time your device is powered on. The removal process may take up to two weeks to complete.
