PSJH COVID-19 Site Designed with SharePoint Training Tools You Can Utilize, Too

Our PSJH system-wide COVID-19 resource site was built in SharePoint Online by our org comms team, who used our self-training tools to design this critical site.

As caregivers learn about the powerful capabilities embedded in the Modern Workplace collaboration platform, PSJH is experiencing tremendous growth in the use of SharePoint Online throughout the enterprise.  One critical recent use of this modernized version of SharePoint has been our critical PSJH COVID-19 updates site.

Before COVID-19 was declared a pandemic, the PSJH Organizational Communication team was already looking for ways to share information about the developing situation and Providence’s response with all caregivers.

“We needed a quick solution that everyone internally could access,” said Preston Smith, director of organizational communication. “I asked my team to look into SharePoint online.” After referencing the “building pages and site designs” section on the OneTeam Learning Portal, our team was able to create the home page and message archive page in a single day.

“The SharePoint Show recordings have since helped us build out the Coronavirus Updates SharePoint site even more,” said Preston. Thanks to the on-demand, always available training, my team has been able to add resources through pages, web parts and document libraries that are specific for core leaders, clinical caregivers and also integrate it with the InOurCircle for automated content. All quickly and with access for all of the caregivers across the organizations that make up Providence St. Joseph Health.

  • Manage your daily routine with workflows, forms, and lists.
  • Sync and store your files in the cloud so anyone can securely work with you.
  • Catch up on news on-the-go with the mobile app.
  • And more!

Where do I go for help?
