Over the coming several weeks, we will be taking the next step on our journey to evolve to the new IS operating model. As IS GVP Chris Briggs prepares for his new role leading Strategic Enablement, and IS prepares to welcome Ivette de Rubens as GVP of the IS Strategy Project Management Office, he has shared the reporting model for his PPMO, QA, and other Business & Consulting Services teams/roles.
As noted in the many prior open forums, communications, and brown bags where this has been discussed, the goal of these changes are to modernize the IS operating model and build a culture with greater accountability, more opportunity for caregiver growth and specialization, and reduce the number of barriers we have to successfully completing our work.
The following changes to roles formerly part of Chris Briggs’ Business & Consulting Services team will be taking place:
- Project management positions closely linked with project delivery within a specific functional pillar of IS (i.e. Epic) will be moved to be embedded within that pillar.
- Development of standard project management tools, methodology, portfolio planning, capital management, intake, and cross functional delivery will continue to be a core function of the IS Strategy and Project Management Office led by GVP Ivette De Rubens, who starts with PSJH on September 3.
- Quality Assurance & Testing service delivery aligned with a single pillar will be moved to be embedded within the function they are supporting.
- Quality Assurance & Testing services supporting projects outside IS, or the development of the QA methodology and standards, will continue to be part of the centralized PMO.
- The Contract Management and Requisition teams, under Liz Hair, will be part of the IS Strategy and Project Management Office under Ivette De Rubens.
- The IQN/Beeline contingent labor platform team, under Anna Persha, will move to report into the new Administrative Technologies vertical led by GVP Doug Lewis, who came on board August 19.
- The individuals supporting IS Communications, position control, space planning, and various other administrative initiatives will report into the IS Strategy and Project Management Office under Ivette.
All of these changes align with the reference org model we’ve been talking about for the last several months. Currently, the leaders for the teams above are engaged in working through these changes on a caregiver by caregiver level.
We are reviewing these changes with HR and the teams that will be receiving caregivers. We have also been meeting with teams directly impacted by these changes starting the week of August 19, and plan to have all changes final by the first week of September.
