Adding a secondary security factor for ensuring that only authorized users are accessing our web applications is crucial for the cybersecurity of PSJH. Soon, Okta single sign-on (SSO) web access will look different for remote caregivers who will move from one-factor (user ID & PIN/password) to multi-factor authentication for PSJH Okta.
Users of our single sign-on web-accessed tools (Office 365, HealthStream, IQN, HR Portal, SuccessFactors, etc.) will be prompted by Okta to establish a unique secondary security code which will be accessed through email, phone call, or SMS (text) message.
MFA targets will roll out in waves. Here’s what caregivers can expect:
- Aug. 19 – Sept. 2: MFA Enrollment – Caregivers can take a few minutes to proactively set their additional Security Factor.
- Sept. 2 – Sept. 16: Prompt at Login – Caregivers who have not already set their additional Security Factor will be requested to set it when they login to PSJH Okta.
- Sept. 16: MFA Mandatory – Caregivers will be required to use the additional Security Factor when logging into PSJH Okta.
To minimize impact, caregivers are encouraged to complete setup before September 16. For complete step-by-step procedures, see this bulletin.
Azure Coming in December
PSJH Microsoft Azure SSO initiative (part of our Microsoft partnership) will consolidate PSJH and SJH Okta SSO into one enterprise-wide environment with MFA security requirements. More information will be coming to you in September.
