The initial pilot for the Day One Onboarding and application provisioning initiative has been live for two weeks and the response has been positive. This effort is essential to improving the experience and initial productivity of our new caregivers and make the onboarding experience smoother for them and their core leaders.
As a reminder, the current scope includes three groups—students, CareLink affiliates within legacy Providence (PHS) ministries, and General Nursing (Job Code 45000) at Sacred Heart and Holy Family in Spokane. These groups were selected due to their volume and impact to support teams.
“Ultimately, the quicker turnaround time is a major benefit,” Debbie Carpenter, sr. specialist, Carelink

While we are in the pilot phase, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team is manually reviewing approximately 10 percent of the tickets to ensure that the applications are being appropriately provisioned using the new automated, birthright-based approaches. After these manual checks, the tickets are closed, and the provisioning notification is sent to the hiring manager.
We are seeing the expected results with approximately 80 percent of the tickets going through automated provisioning with no manual intervention necessary.
Thank you to the multiple teams who have been part of this initiative and will continue to support it as we expand to more populations.
