Dear IS team,
I haven’t had a chance to share a mission message with IS since right after our June town hall together when I shared the Parable of the Trapeze.
At IS town hall, I introduced the new team reporting to me, supporting our Mission Integration Program, along with service and pastoral care services for each region.
We’re going to be featuring a monthly profile of each of these new Mission directors here in IS Update. Each Mission leader feature will introduce a region’s Mission director, share a service project or activity undertaken recently with IS caregivers, and provide a timely reflection.
Adam Dial, Tabitha Lieberman, Chris Briggs have recently shared Mission service efforts undertaken by their teams and we’ll continue to share those, as well as hear from my regional Mission leads at the local level on ways you can personally get involved with PSJH Mission service activities. IS COAC members will be invited to ESS Mission service projects for each region and help recruit volunteers in their IS regions. As such, the COAC will no longer be a standing committee.
Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications management team collects back-to-school supplies.
I continue to work closely with B.J. Moore and our IS executive team, attending their meetings and helping with some of our Mission support related to our big IS initiatives, including the organization model evolution and capacity-building efforts you have underway. IS is one of many teams within PSJH that are seeing major transformation underway and sometimes apprehensive about “How will this affect me and my job?” Know you are not alone, and can hopefully take some comfort from the example of our founding Sisters.
Let me leave you with this reflection that I hope can provide you with some centering and comfort in what feels like a time of constant change.
Be kind to one another and please feel free to reach out to me (Susanne.Hartung@providence.org) or your area’s IS Mission leader.
Be blessed.
Susanne Hartung SP
