In March, we shared a new model for how IS and the Information Security organization of Risk & Integrity Services were realigning teams and resources to best defend PSJH against cybersecurity threats. In the last six weeks, the Information Security model has evolved again, with Interim Chief Information Security Officer and VP Lenny Levy now reporting directly to B.J. Moore, our CIO and IS EVP.
Lenny and his team will continue to closely liaise with Chief Risk Officer and SVP Sheryl Vacca’s Risk & Integrity Services organization. In addition to the Security Risk Management and Security Compliance/Governance/Guidance teams Lenny brings to IS from Risk, IS directors Charles Lee and Mike Ratliff move over from TEO to this new, dedicated cybersecurity organization.
Focuses for 2019 the Information Security team tells us we can look forward to hearing more about in the coming months include rollout of a new VPN solution, a new enterprise policy of changing our passwords more frequently, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and more robust business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Let’s give Information Security a warm welcome into the IS fold!
